Pinworm, also known as Enterobius vermicularis, is one of the most common parasitic infections in humans. It mainly affects children but can spread easily within families and groups.


Where They Live in the Body

Pinworms reside in the lower intestines, especially the colon and rectum. At night, female pinworms migrate to the anus to lay their eggs on the surrounding skin, causing intense itching.


The Life Cycle


1. Eggs are laid around the anus, usually at night
