Plamodium is a rarely mentioned parasite that can be confused with Plasmodium, the well-known cause of malaria. While its classification remains controversial, emerging evidence and anecdotal reports suggest Plamodium may be a unique protozoan-like organism affecting both the blood and lymphatic systems. Unlike Plasmodium, which is mosquito-borne, Plamodium may have different vectors and mechanisms of transmission, possibly through contaminated water or arthropod bites.
Symptoms of Plamodium Infection
Symptoms may mimic those of chronic infections and autoimmune disorders. These include extreme fatigue, low-grade fevers, night sweats, joint pain, brain fog, anemia, dizziness, mood swings, and swollen lymph nodes. Some people also report itchy skin or persistent rashes. Because symptoms are nonspecific, Plamodium can go undetected for years.
