The Missing Link. Parasites in Farmed Salmon and the Brain Barrier
A Hidden Risk Worth Understanding.
Farmed Atlantic salmon is one of the most commonly consumed fish worldwide, but there’s a critical conversation not being had. Many people are unaware that parasites found in farmed fish may pose serious health risks, especially to the brain and nervous system.
The Problem with Farmed Fish
Farmed salmon are raised in overcrowded sea cages and are often exposed to pesticides, antibiotics, and artificial feed. These unnatural conditions weaken their immunity, allowing parasites such as Anisakis, Piscicola, and Myxobolus cerebralis to thrive.
